This website is operated by Ikogwe Friday Education and Skills Foundation (IFES Foundation), a non-governmental organisation in Nigeria. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website.

What we collect when you send an enquiry
When you use our enquiry form, we collect:
- your full name and email address (required);
- your phone number and organisation or institution, if you choose to give them;
- the type of enquiry you select and your message;
- your confirmation that we may use these details to respond to you.
Please do not include sensitive personal information, or information about a child, in your message.
How we use it and why
We use these details only to read, answer and follow up your enquiry. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us; this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
The form sends your enquiry to our email inbox. It is not stored in a database on this website.
Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)
To protect our forms from spam and abuse, this website uses Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA collects information such as your IP address, browser and device details and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google, which may set cookies. Google’s use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
We also use a simple built-in check that detects automated form submissions. It does not collect any additional personal data.
Cookies and website logs
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Apart from the reCAPTCHA cookies described above, cookies are only set for people who sign in to manage the website.
Like most websites, our web server and hosting provider keep technical logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. For security, the website also records the IP addresses of failed attempts to sign in to its administration area.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make this website and our email work (our hosting and email providers) and with Google for reCAPTCHA, and where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them, unless we must keep them for legal reasons.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- withdraw your consent, or object to how we use your data;
- complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
