Governance, Ethics and Safeguarding

Public trust begins with responsible governance.

Our Commitment to Responsible Practice

As IFES Foundation develops its humanitarian mission, institutional governance, clear decision-making and protection of vulnerable people are essential to responsible programme delivery.

Governance and Oversight

The Foundation is governed under its registered constitution and applicable Nigerian law. Details of authorised trustees, approved governance policies and updated constitutional provisions will be published after verification.

Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk

The safety, dignity and welfare of children and vulnerable adults must guide any programme involving them. Appropriate safeguarding procedures, reporting channels, privacy protections and trained personnel will be required before relevant activities begin.

Integrity and Financial Accountability

The Foundation seeks to apply resources only to approved charitable purposes and to maintain appropriate records, internal controls and reporting arrangements. Confirmed financial information and approved annual reports will be made available as they are prepared.

Community Inclusion

We seek to treat beneficiaries and communities fairly and respectfully, and to encourage accessible ways for people to raise concerns or provide programme feedback.
